Awesome Pawsibilities was formed as a resource and support for individuals and families with companion canines. These services are provided both in the form of canine instruction and human interaction and counseling utilizing a mental health and psychosocial model. This is the culmination of a dream for Owner and Trainer Tanya Blom who has always wanted to combine her advanced degree with her love of dogs.

All rescue dogs are given a 10% discount on group classes and 5% discount on individual consults/lessons. Multi dog discounts are also available.
In accordance with its mission, a portion of each class fee is donated to the rescue of your choice.

Awesome Pawsibilities was formed with one being in mind: the dog.
A creature whose unconditional love enriches the lives of so many, yet ironically is also solely dependent on the one he so dearly loves.
As veterans of animal related venues including training and rescue it became evident over the years that sometimes this relationship was strained because of a lack of understanding. Thus the mission of “Awes Paws” was born:
Through the use of education, emotional support by a master's level social worker, training techniques, and community awareness, "Awes Paws" strives to improve the quality of life for canines and humans, ensuring the animal has a home for a lifetime.

Awesome Pawsibilities Services:
The Awesome Pawsibilities Service Model was designed with the lifespan of the dog in mind: from puppy, to adult, to senior, specifically targeting problems owners encounter along the pet ownership journey. Additionally the Services were designed specifically with rescue as a primary principle.
Puppy Play and Socialization(Group Format):
Puppies need to learn manners too! This class shows puppies that life is fun and how to RESPOND and not REACT! Owners start learning fun interactional games that can be played with their new addition. Basic commands are introduced. Objective of this class? FUN with an emphasis on assessment of the pup’s needs as they continue to grow!
Basic Obedience Training(Group And Individual Format): Generally held in Group Classes your dog learns through positive training techniques basic commands such as sit, down, stay, leave it, and walking on loose leash. Should you desire, these classes may also be held privately as well. Sometimes people want some additional help with Basic Obedience, so Private Lessons are offered to supplement Group Classes if needed. These class is offered with the goal of the dog passing Canine Good Citizen Testing should the owner desire this designation.
Problem Solving For Problematic Behaviors (Individual Format):
Some examples of these include chewing, nipping or snapping, barking incessantly, not letting you near it’s food bowl, pulling on the leash, jumping up… just to name a few. We help you understand the reasons behind the behavior and how to help set your dog up for success using positive methods of training! Behaviors are as individualized as the dog because there is no “one size fits all” training method for every dog. We take the time to talk with you, observe your pet, and teach you how to correct the behavior. Most importantly we follow up! We do not teach you skills and leave. We return to see how the dog has improved and see how you feel!
Rescue Adoption Counseling(Individual Format):
There are thousands of dogs waiting to be adopted in our nation’s animal shelters. Sometimes it is difficult to know their past or what to expect. Let us help you with this AWESOME decision! First we discuss what type of dog would best fit in with your family and lifestyle; the next step is meeting you at the shelter of your choice to choose an appropriate dog. We then assist with the training and help you resolve specific behaviors (if warranted) we are here to support you as you save a life and earn a lifetime companion!
